Razer Hammerhead Pro review

Hello!
This is my review for the Razer Hammerhead pro an in-ear (IEM) headset for gamers. Yes you heard it! HEADSET FOR GAMERS THIS LITTLE PIECE OF SH*T IS FOR GAMERS!!! Yay! OK, so today I'm gonna review this baby "Beam Style"

Out of the Box

Like what Linus said about Razer's packaging is always awesome, even when they decided to use normal plastic for the job. Well, the thing was all nice, the packaging let us see what does it look like, the mic (controller), and other stuff such as the neon eye-bleeding green cable. And to my surprise, they even included a cool looking cable splitter (from the mixed audio & mic to ear and mic. separately)  and a strong and luxury looking pouch that fits your hand perfectly! (smaller than an iPhone 5 screen vertically but only a size of a penny wider than an iPhone 5 screen horizontally). What's interesting is that, unlike the Razer Moray headphone/headset, there aren't any Razer logo present! But instead of that, they included their motto of "For Gamers, By Gamers" motto instead which still pretty sucks for me since the other people that borrows my headset doesn't know the brand just from the motto!, you will know what I mean in my image below. The things included are: The headset (duh!), Hard carrying case, cable splitter, S, M, L and Bi-Flange ear tip, a handbook, AND THE STICKERS FTW!!!

See? Hard carrying case!

Day 1

Well, after testing it for a while on songs (Maroon 5, Imagine Dragon, Taylor swift, Backstreet boys, etc...) and playing games (Point Blank/Project Blackout) and.. that's it! It turns out that the Treble and the Mid (Mids and High or whatever you call it) are pretty much drowned out by the bass which isn't a problem for me because well, this IS A GAMING HEADSET WHICH IS NOT REALLY FOR MUSIC but still pretty good cuz I don't like ear-splitting treble sound which will really hurt my ears... But instead, every single footstep in the game was heard and when combined with razer surround's 7.1 emulator, I can hear my enemies accurately and made me better at FPS games! And even when I'm listening to my songs that have suckey bass, the bass still hammers! :) But just one thing, the cable is a normal round rubber and when I slam myself to the table (rolling chair) the cable dents... but still good stuff there! :)

Features

- 9 mm Neodymium magnet which gives off the booming crazy bass
- Green rubber round cable which isn't so durable but the quality is still awesome!
- Machined Aluminum body which is very strong and sleek and cool and all, but the black fades over time (4 month)
- Omnidirectional Mic. which gives of clear sound but picks up noise from around which sucks but still good especially for phone communications.
- Noise Isolation which only applies when you wear the right size for your ear and the Bi-Flange.

Care and Maintenance

Well, to preserve the headset, I advise you people to keep it in your carrying case (wrap it around 3 fingers for me) and don't slam the cable it to the corner of the cable... that's it for the care!

Problems

Well, there aren't many problem for this headset except the dented cable and the IEM falling apart but still repairable by just putting it back... :) AND MAGICALLY IT STILL WORKS

Until Now...

I'm still using this headset even now, I'm watching Youtubers React with this headset and it just fell apart again 30 minutes ago... :P Best headset ever! Better than Beats By Dr. Dre! (maybe.. will update if I get to try out my friend's UrBeats...) And we two became inseparable because I carry it with me all around..

"For Gamers, By Gamers"

Summary + Score

This headset gives lots of rich bass but not so good trebles (still good), the con is that the not so durable cable (round rubber) IF YOU HEAR ME RAZER, GIVE ME FLAT CABLE HEADSET!!!
edit: oh... there's the Razer Adaro Series In-Ear which has a Razer logo and flat cable... damn!
Pros: Awesome Bass, Cool eye hurting neon green cable, Sleek aluminum, nice sound, clear mic.
Cons: Round cable, Not so good durability but better than DA.

Should I Buy it..?

For me, I'd say yes but if you're a that type of person that really likes treble and musical instruments, try Marshall's Minor Fx, not the Hammerhead pro, but if you really love bass like me, this is the headset you will love for the rest of your life!

Score Rating

For me, I'd give it a 8/10 : taking 1 for the round cable and another 0.5 for the falling apart... :/ But overall nice! Even though a little too pricey (brand selling I guess..?) and that's another 0.5 deducted.

Thank you so much for reading this article today.. I spent an hour and a half doing it, so if you like it, be sure to follow my blaog for more awesome (?) reviews and blog updates!

Until next time, stay healthy and game hard!
